Chocolate chip cookies are a staple in my house. I make them every week, and my children love them. Now there is nothing quite like a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie.
Now before I give the recipe I want to explain about how to cook the cookie for optimal tastiness.
The oven itself should be preheated to 340 F° or 170 C°. Once the cookies are ready, you should slide them into the oven and make sure that the heat is even. Keep an eye on the cookies, don’t let them bake for more than 7 minutes. The edges will be golden brown and then let them sit and cool.
Do not worry that the middle of the cookie is soft, it will harden as it cools. Don’t forget to try one quickly after it comes out of the oven. That is when they are the best.
Ready dads? This recipe is based off of the Nestle Toll House chocolate chip recipe.
It’s been modified so it is non-dairy (Pareve)
In a bowl mix all of the dry ingredients.
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Mix them together and dig out a well in the middle. In the well place the:
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix everything together until the dough is no longer sticky.
Roll the dough into small balls, flatten them a little and place them on the tray.
The right size will make anywhere between 16 – 20 cookies on an average tray.
Enjoy these amazing chocolate chip cookies!
